BMO Launch Me Program is now accepting applications

APPLICATIONS ARE DUE: October 9th

The BMO Launch Me Program is designed to support students and recent alumni in launching, developing and growing their business ventures.  Selected finalists will move on to pitch their business ideas competing for a share of $130,000 in funding. Workshop Program (Fall 2026) (Dates are subject to change) 
Complete a series of skill building workshops to prepare your business idea for launch. 

• Lesson 1: The Company Profile - October 19th, 3:00 - 5:00 pm  
• Lesson 2 : Market Research - November 2nd, 3:00 - 5:00 pm  
• Lesson 3: Financial Plan - November 9th, 3:00 - 5:00 pm  
• Lesson 4: Marketing and Sales Plan - November 16th, 3:00 - 5:00 pm  
• Lesson 5: Operations and Executive Summary  - November 23th, 3:00 - 5:00 pm  

 Q&A session and Business Plan Preparation - November 30th, 3:00 - 5:00pm 

Eligibility: 

You are a current Humber or Guelph-Humber student, or an alumnus within two years of graduation.

Business Plan Submission 
Submit your business plan to advance to the competition finals, funding categories: 

   - BMO Women Innovators Competition: For women-identifying entrepreneurs 
   - BMO Groundbreaker Competition: For all current students 
   - BMO New Graduate Startup Competition: For Humber graduates (within ~2 years graduation) 

BMO Launch Me Pitch Competition (Spring 2027) 
- Chosen finalists from the business plan submissions will move on to the finals with a five minute pitch to a panel of judges. 

Program Schedule 
- Applications Officially Open: August 31st, 2026 
- Applications Close: October 9th, 2026 
- Program Launch: October 19th, 2026 
- Ongoing workshops: Every Wednesday, 3:00pm - 5:00pm, October 19th to November 30th (all virtual) 

Steps for the Competition: 
- Attend Launch Me Information Session (Highly recommended) 
 - Submit application  
- Attend Launch Me workshops 
- Create Business Plan  
- Application with Business Plan to be completed and submitted on the BBAM application portal  
- Applications are reviewed by a panel of experts   
- Finalists will be selected in the first week of February  
- Finalists will practice pitching their ideas at a Practice Pitch Event (Note: This may be done remotely)  
- Finalists will pitch their ideas at a live event to a panel of judges, March 25th, 2027 
- Winners are selected!
