Diana Chan McNally has taken the lead at the polls after the race in Parkdale-High Park has remained closely contested.
Separate polls from Mainstreet Research previously showed Nadia Guerrera and McNally leading the field.
Mainstreet Research initially forecasted Guerrera to gain 35.2 per cent support, followed by Chan McNally at 29.2 per cent and Adam Pham at 15.5 per cent.
Currently, 65 of 67 polls reporting, McNally led with approximately 42 per cent to Guerrera's 28 per cent.
In 2018, Nadia Guerrera ran for MPP as a Liberal in Parkdale-High Park. She came in third of six candidates. In 2022, she ran in York South-Weston, coming third out of seven candidates. Guerrera has been endorsed by former Liberal premier of Ontario Kathleen Wynne.
McNally's focus has strongly remained on community advocacy, working as a frontline worker and advocate for the unhoused. She is currently on leave from the city’s Housing Rights Advisory Committee and is the founder of the Ontario Coalition for the Rights of Homeless People.
The race is taking place following longtime councillor Gord Perks’ decision not to seek re-election, leaving the seat open.
