Reminder: TTC photo day is coming up - save money on your fares

Humber is making it easy for you to get a TTC Post-Secondary photo ID, which will allow you to save on TTC fares.

Want to save money on your TTC commute? Humber students can purchase a Post-Secondary Monthly pass, so you can take unlimited trips on TTC for a set monthly cost of $128.

The catch is, you need to have your photo taken for a TTC Post-Secondary Photo ID first.

Humber is arranging two photo sessions to help you get that card:

  • Lakeshore Campus - September 24 at L Building - Room L1017 from 9:00am to 1:30pm
  • North Campus - September 26 at LRC Concourse from 9:00am to 1:30pm

Please note only full-time students are eligible to obtain this photo ID. Students must bring the following to obtain the ID:

  • Proof of full-time enrolment at Humber College, which can be accessed on MyHumber
  • School or government-issued photo ID
  • $7 in cash

Students who cannot attend the Photo Day events at Humber can obtain their photo ID directly at the Bathurst Station Photo ID Office, open Monday to Friday 3pm-7pm, and Saturday 10am-2pm.

Once you have your TTC Post Secondary Photo ID, go to a Shoppers Drug Mart or the TTC Customer Service Centre above Davisville Station to set your Fare Type to post-secondary student. With that, you will be able to purchase the Post-Secondary Monthly Pass and save $27.85 every month.

Youth Fare
Students who are 19 years old or younger are highly encouraged to benefit from the Youth Fare. There’s a discounted Monthly Pass for $128.15 and pay-as-you-go fare is also lower at $2.25. This discount is based on age and has nothing to do with school status and so it does not require a TTC Photo ID. To get this deal, simply visit a Shoppers Drug Mart with your PRESTO card and a piece of Government Photo ID containing date of birth. The employees at Shoppers will then program the PRESTO card with your birthdate, allowing you to enjoy a pay-as-you-go discount or you can choose to purchase a monthly pass.
